Let's start with common homeowner stories you hear or read about online: (we understand many homeowners feel this way in the back of their mind)

Story #1:A single woman's story goes like this: I hired a contractor to come in to tune up my furnace (first time since I purchased my home). I did my research on what needed to be done, compared rates and what not first. The furnace guy came in, took one look at my almost 20 year old furnace, pronounced it unsafe, shut off my gas and left me in the cold at 4 pm on a Thursday afternoon. He was at my home all of 10 minutes. Shortly thereafter I got a call from his office trying to sell me a new furnace and hot water heater, which could be installed by Saturday if I agreed that moment. Otherwise it would not be til the following Thursday that they would have an opening to fit me in......The second furnace guy arrived within an hour ....Guy #2 thoroughly inspected my entire furnace system, checked for carbon monoxide, tuned up my furnace and told me there was absolutely NOTHING wrong with it!! Unbelievable!

Story #2: "I am not sure but they always clean the coils in the air handler and check the freon...other than that, it is a mystery! So basically since I change the filter every two-three months, I'm paying the guy to tell me that my AC or furnace is working? And if it's broken ... well, he just tells me it's broken and goes along his merry way? Seems like a bit of scam to me.

Story #3: "Since it's a science depending on the competency of your HVAC contractor they are base lining your equipment to tell you when things could go wrong and when your efficiency is being lost. Good service keeps problems from happening when your HVAC co. knows what they should be looking for. ...Would you go a full year without taking your car in for routine maintenance? Some HVAC systems come very close to car prices yet people want to be so lack about taking care of them. You spend more time

In Story #3, the homeowner hits the nail on the head. If you haven't had a Furnace Tune Up recently, there’s a GOOD chance your current heating system is underperforming --- robbing you blind; and, your health(or even your life) may be at risk and you don't even know it.

Schedule A Furnace Tune Up NOW! It doesn't make a difference what time a year it is done, just as long as it gets done.
